Duration: approximately 30 to 60 minutes. Non-invasive.

Indications: screening in high-risk patients, evaluation of the extent of breast cancer, post-treatment follow-up, evaluation of breast implants. Inform your technician of any allergies to the contrast material before the exam.

Breast Ultrasound Breast ultrasound uses sound waves to produce real-time images of breast tissue. This exam is particularly useful for examining masses detected during a mammogram or for visualizing tissue that is difficult to see on x-ray images. ​

Duration: between 15 and 30 minutes. Non-invasive and painless. ​

Indications: evaluation of breast masses, monitoring of lesions, complementary examination to other imaging. Inform the technician if you have a history of breast surgery or implants.
