Types of exams offered
Breast MRI
Advanced imaging test using a powerful magnetic field and radio waves to obtain highly detailed images of breast tissue. This examination is particularly useful for detecting abnormalities not visible on mammography or ultrasound and for assessing the extent of breast cancer.
Duration: approximately 30 to 60 minutes. Non-invasive.
Indications: screening in high-risk patients, evaluation of the extent of breast cancer, post-treatment follow-up, evaluation of breast implants. Inform your technician of any allergies to the contrast material before the exam.
4D spectral mammography
Innovative imaging technique that combines four-dimensional images with spectral analysis to improve the detection and characterization of breast abnormalities. This method allows you to better visualize the internal structures of the breast and differentiate between tissue types with more precision.
Duration: approximately 15 to 20 minutes. Non-invasive.
Indications: breast cancer screening, evaluation of suspicious masses, complement to conventional mammography. Ideal for patients with dense breasts or a family history of breast cancer.
Breast ultrasound
Breast Ultrasound Breast ultrasound uses sound waves to produce real-time images of breast tissue. This exam is particularly useful for examining masses detected during a mammogram or for visualizing tissue that is difficult to see on x-ray images.
Duration: between 15 and 30 minutes. Non-invasive and painless.
Indications: evaluation of breast masses, monitoring of lesions, complementary examination to other imaging. Inform the technician if you have a history of breast surgery or implants.
