Guided infiltrations

Guided infiltrations are therapeutic procedures using imaging (MRI, CT scan or ultrasound) to precisely guide the injection of anti-inflammatory drugs or anesthetics into a joint or near a nerve. These injections are given to relieve pain, reduce inflammation or improve joint mobility.

Duration:  approximately 15 to 30 minutes. Slightly invasive.

Indications:  treatment of joint pain, tendonitis, bursitis, or chronic nerve pain. No specific preparation is required, but it is advisable to discuss your current treatment with the doctor before the infiltration.
