Prostate MRI

Prostate MRI is an advanced imaging test that uses a powerful magnetic field and radio waves to obtain detailed images of the prostate and surrounding tissues. This examination is essential for the early detection of prostate cancer, the assessment of tumor extension and post-treatment monitoring.

Duration:  approximately 30 to 60 minutes. Non-invasive, sometimes with the injection of a contrast product.

Indications:  screening and evaluation of prostate cancer, monitoring of patients after treatment, clarification of ambiguous results of other examinations. Inform the technician of any allergies to the contrast material before the exam.
